I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. (See below for plans for 2018!) Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
I’m still reading through the letters from Paul this week with some Acts scattered in. I love that the events in Acts are put where they go chronologically in relation to the letters so you can more easily see the events that are surrounding them. I love this section of the Bible with all of its practical instruction and encouragement for the New Testament church!!
This was a super simple page. I’ve been preparing for company all week and have company this weekend so simple was good!! I enjoyed it though. I used my gel pens again which are still my favorite for bold color and of course my trusty gold pen which I love!!

Journaling Through the Bible in 2018:
I have loved reading and journaling through my Bible this year and posting about it here has kept me accountable. I’ve also loved reading the posts and seeing the artwork you have shared. So, I’m going to continue this series through 2018. I will again be reading through chronologically and journaling at least one entry per week to share here on the blog on Sundays. I am opening up the link up to any post related to Bible reading or Bible Journaling and you may post multiple posts per week instead of just one if you would like (this could change if the link up gets busier). I also am going to add some additional features and ways to interact:
Facebook group: I will host a Facebook group for those reading the Bible chronologically. You can use a Chronological One Year Bible or a reading plan that tells you what to read each day. For the sake of simplicity, I’m limiting this group to discussion within the chronological reading framework. I will post what I will be reading the following week and you can read along or use whatever reading plan you are using as long as it is a one-year chronological plan. I will post discussion thoughts and questions 2-3 times during the week but others are welcome to post and discuss as they are lead. We can also use the group to share journaling ideas, techniques, and tips so if you aren’t on the same reading plan but would like to participate in the journaling portions that will be included as well.
Pinterest Board: I will create a group Pinterest board specifically for our Bible Journaling posts. Contributors can pin any post related to Bible reading or Bible Journaling on this board.
Scripture Writing: I am doing my own exploratory study next year as I read through the Bible. I will be writing out any verses I find pertaining to women, marriage, parenting, behavior/character traits, and the character of God. (I will be using three different notebooks- more on that later). I will share here and in the Facebook group what verses I found during that week’s reading. More details on this will be coming soon.
I will open the Facebook group and Pinterest Board a week or two before January 1st and both of those will officially kick off on New Years. Instructions for joining will be on my freebies page for newsletter subscribers. You can subscribe to my newsletter (in the sidebar on the right) now for access to that page or wait until later in the month when I announce that they are open.
