I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
This week was all in Corinthians and Romans. I love how Paul really spells out that love is the most important thing here. It isn’t about what you know or how well you keep laws it is about love. If you know all there is to know in the world but don’t love others it is all for nothing. Romans spells out more how we should not do things to make others stumble (because we love them) but that we are free from legalism because of the death of Christ.
I liked this simple page about love because that is really a central theme of the Bible. Everything that God did He did because he loves us. Jesus came and died because He loves us. We are to love God and love each other. No matter how much scripture we have memorized or how much of the law we keep it doesn’t matter if we don’t love. I did this up in a Valentine theme since it seemed to fit even though I’m not a huge pink and purple fan. I kind of like how it turned out.
What I used for this entry:
Check out last week’s linkup where Peabea shares her Advent Bible reading plans and Dani shares her weekly artwork. I love how Dani used ink to create white dots on her page. I will have to try that at some point!!

We wrapped up OCC collection week Monday and the rest of the week has been all about cleaning in preparation for company next weekend. We did have our traditional Thanksgiving duck and my favorite stuffing along with ham and mashed potatoes on Thursday. My plans for the rest of the year center around cleaning and organizing my house as well as doing some intentional planning and goal setting for next year. I’m excited to share with you some of the plans for this blog which I will be doing gradually over the next few weeks. I did share one of those plans earlier this week so make sure you check that out!
