Journaling Through The Bible – Week 40 {Link Up}

I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!

The Reading:

I love reading about the life and ministry of Jesus! I realize that seems like an obvious statement and I’m not minimizing the importance of the rest of the Bible but this part is simply never boring! I have been struggling a bit to keep up this week. I’ve rearranged my schedule again and had sort of a recovery week so missed my morning time a bit but I’m always striving to get it done.

 The Journaling:

The picture doesn’t show the colors on this quite as well as I’d liked but I also ended up not loving some of the colors I chose. I did a combination of pencil and pens because I like the contrast and depth that gives. I still really need to replace my pencils. I noticed they are on sale at Hobby Lobby this week so perhaps I’ll pop by and see what I can find! I’ve been struggling with allergies all week and had this nearly done but not quite so my daughter kind of took over and finished it up for me. Bible Journaling is quickly becoming a family affair! I got my oldest The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for her birthday and now two other kids are asking for a coloring/journaling Bible too!

Make sure to check out Dani’s coloring from last week! I love her monochromatic page, of course blue is my favorite color!! I also love how she carries the journaling through the Bible passage by lightly coloring in the whole page, I think I’ll have to try that soon!

Kids, Crunch, and Christ Journal Through The Bible

Things change fast around here! I realized that my at home job was causing a disruption in our family relationships and routines and my children were not handling it well. So after much prayer and discussing it with some close friends who I trust I decided to quit. It is a great opportunity for moms to stay home with their kids and still bring in an income but it isn’t the right opportunity for me at this time for multiple reasons. I didn’t realize until after I quit how exhausted I was becoming! This week I have spent most of the week resting and recuperating. It has been a good thing and was quickly obvious I made the right choice. I also spent most of the week struggling with allergies and have ended up feeling pretty awful this weekend (which is part of why this post is going up so late today). I’m hoping an early bedtime and good night’s sleep will get be back to normal for the week.

  2. Beautiful art in your journaling! What a treasure for your children! I never know what to draw in mine:) But I’m working on it! Praying comfort and relief for your allergies – and for a blessed, refreshed week!

    • Thank you! This particular Bible has coloring pages so I don’t have to think about what to draw I just color it in!! I want to start creating my own art but this year has been incredibly busy and challenging so I’ve been thankful for the pre-printed pages. I do hope that through the years I can fill the pages of this Bible with thoughts and art and that my children and grandchildren enjoy it in the future.
