I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
I am still mostly in Joshua and Ezekial. Honestly, at this point, the Old Testament is starting to feel like a broken record. Israelites screw up, God punishes, they (eventually) repent and beg for salvation/deliverance, God answers, rinse, repeat. Man, they just couldn’t get it through their heads. Ahh, but aren’t I the pot calling the kettle black? Of course, this is such a reflection of each of our own hearts. Sometimes we are doing better than others but without constantly keeping our focus on Christ we will slip, stumble, and give ourselves over to our earthly impulses. We must remain ever vigilant and keep our eyes focused on Him.
This page had my word on it again! And although I am not “sorrowing” I definitely relate to the weary part. Life is beyond exhausting at this point and I just keep chugging along!! I love using the gelatos for some background color! I also used a pen for some outlining on the flower and think it added some nice depth. Some day I will have time to learn more techniques to expand my coloring/journaling.

Check out the post Dani linked up last week. Her art is amazing, I need lessons!! She also shared about her new Proverbs coloring book, it looks awesome!

One kid started co-op this week, we had Tae Kwan Do testing and scout activities. In addition to that, I had OCC work and training for my new VIPKID job so it has been pretty hectic! Make sure you check out the Back to Homeschool series and Blog Hop from this past week! This week looks to be a tad slower, although only a tad. Next weekend should be fairly empty so I’m looking forward to that!
