I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
This week’s reading was mostly in Jeremiah. What a sad book, all about the Israelites turning from God and worshiping other Gods. We are so like the Israelites, our “gods” are sneakier perhaps because we don’t refer to them as such but we so often worship things that aren’t God.
There was a passage about the Sabbath that I would have loved to make my own art for but I couldn’t think of what exactly to draw and as usual time for art without little ones wanting to “help” is scarce! So I chose this simple but lovely page to color instead.

Make sure you check out the post that Dani linked up last week! I love her illustration of the olive oil jar and I really need her to give me water color lessons!!!

We are deep in the getting ready for school season! My oldest starts the Classical Conversations Challenge program for the first time ever on Tuesday. The other kids’ CC days don’t start back for another two weeks but we will be slowly easing back into a full school routine. In honor of Back to (home)School, I’m participating in a blog hop this week, join us for lots of homeschooling ideas and encouragement!! I have also accepted a job as a VIPKID teacher (I’ll give more details about that later if you are interested in applying in the meantime feel free to get in touch with me) and am excited to teach my first class this week!
