I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
Most of the reading this week was in Amos and Isaiah. Like the rest of the Old Testament, these books illustrate Israel falling away from God, being punished, crying out to Him, and being rescued. This is out story too really.
This was a simple page and such a great prelude to Jesus in this verse. I didn’t want to color in the “white” or “snow” but wanted to do something so I outlined it with my silver gel pen. I’m not sure if I like the way it turned out.

This week was all about recovery!! After a crazy busy week the week before we all needed some down time. I actually started out trying to accomplish a lot but quickly realized that just wasn’t going to work, the kids and I all needed a chill week. Family came in this weekend and I warned them they would experience “scruffy hospitality” because I was just too wiped out to do any major cleaning and quite frankly while I’m cleaning one room someone is destroying another. Luckily they understand!
I fully intended to get the Life Giving Home post up yesterday, although a week late, but frankly, I haven’t even had time to look at the June chapter. Perhaps I will post in July but I may just end that series since I don’t really have time to implement any of the wonderful ideas right now. I’m hoping next year I can take more action on the suggestion in the book.
