I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!
I was in Samuel and Chronicles this week (it is the same story so goes between the two), reading about David running from King Saul and all the opportunities David had to kill Saul but didn’t. This is such a crazy story of Saul straying and losing his mind (at least that is how it seems). Of course, David is a great story because he is the man after God’s heart (despite all his failures).
This was a quick coloring page this week since the baby still isn’t too happy about being put down. My oldest son came and sat next to me while I was working on it so I included him by letting him pick the colors for each word. I tried to give the page a distressed look with my pastels but they didn’t work great. I’ve done this with them before but maybe I didn’t choose a great color this time. I am hoping to get some distressing crayons soon to use for this instead!

We are getting bee equipment in place, the garden plants are sprouting and I’m starting to clean up the yard. I’m really hoping to make a detailed post about our homesteading efforts soon. Life might be slowing down a bit but baby is going through a super demanding phase. I’m trying to slow down and enjoy the kids rather than feeling like I’m rushing from one thing to the next, it is amazing how much effort that takes!!
