Journal Through The Bible – Week 13 {Link Up}

I am reading and journaling chronologically through the Bible in 2017. Each Sunday I will post one of my journaling pages and thoughts from that week’s reading. I will also have a linky for anyone who would like to participate to share how their Bible reading and journaling is going!

New! I will start doing a brief life update at the end of these post. Make sure to scroll all the way down to see it!

The Reading:

I’m way behind in my reading this week. It has been another big transition for our family and the kids have demanded a lot of my attention. Not that that is an excuse really. I MUST get into a good routine of getting up before them to do my Bible reading/study/quiet time. I will be ready two sections a day until I’m caught up this week. I am still reading through Joshua about the Israelites taking the promised land. It is an exciting chapter but I have to admit I struggle to understand the harshness of God’s orders to destroy all of the people including women and children. I think this is just one of the things I won’t understand this side of heaven (if ever) but I must trust there was a good reason.

The Journaling:

I chose this relatively simple coloring page to do this week because I was feeling overwhelmed with life and certainly not in a state to do my own art. I am really glad this Bible has the coloring pages in it! I used mostly gel pens because I wanted a bolder look than I get with the colored pencils.

And we had a new linker, Angel from Living Life Well shared about her Craving Connection and Community Bible Journaling Kit from Dayspring!

Kids, Crunch, and Christ Journal Through The Bible

As I mentioned above our family has been through another big transition this past week. It has been endless change and transition for the last six months. Moving, baby, etc. This transition is not something that needs to be shared but is the reason I didn’t have any posts last week. The kids were needing ALL of my attention and energy. This coming week I have a review coming up and I hope to post an update on our homesteading activities so be looking for those! Friday is First Friday Featured Ministry and will be my quarterly Operation Christmas Child idea post. Blogging may be slow this month as we get used to our new normal once again.

  1. Joshua is a favorite of mine. Wow, sounds very busy at your place. Such work to move, and with a baby. Congratulations for your new place.

    Thanks for hosting your link up. 🙂

    • Thanks for stopping by again! We actually moved in November and baby was born in January so we didn’t move with a baby but had him very soon after getting here and moving 9 months preg isn’t a lot of fun! We were still working on getting moved in when he was born.

  2. Enjoyed reading Joshua and the artwork is very beautiful. Well, I can imagine with so much going on, you still took the time to do this, which was very amazing. Congratulations for your new baby!!
